Abstract (english) | Pannonian slipped ware belongs to the class of the pottery as a typical and widespread product. It was produced in various areas of the province of Pannonia, but also Noricum and Moesia. A general description of this ware is that the dishes were made on the wheel, the surface is slipped, and most often undecorated, but can be also decorated by rouletting or stamping, or a combination of the two, and fired in reducing or oxidizing atmospheres: as a result there are black, grey, red, orange vessels |
